Kursewerd (formerly Art Writaz) is a Pittsburgh based producer since late 2001/2002; real name Jason Varner. He incorporates many styles into his production; sampling music, emotional pieces, club/dirty south beats, horrorcore for the rough at heart, underground and mainstream vibes alike, etc. He primarily produces with Blackburg Records/ Jams Avenue, Diamond-Light Ent. Group, War Room Studios and Wishmasta Entertainment. His twin brother, Warlokk of Lokken Load Ent., also produces creating two of the best beatsmiths from the Pittsburgh area.
Kursewerd is currently working and producing with one of the greatest musicians, Renny J (Reunald C.P. Jones III). With Renny J's grandfather & father both being accomplished musicians, he grew up associating with and following in the footsteps of legends such as Duke Ellington, Ella Fitzgerald, Sammy Davis Jr., James Brown, and much more. I started off by posting a couple recent beats and some tracks from last year and all. One of the artists I primarily produce for, Casino (one of the most promising artists from Pittsburgh), is hitting up the studio in April to bang out multiple tracks that we have lined up. When you hear some of this, you'll be hooked and see why his potential is out of this world!
